Documentation
Set up Stripe Payments for Pipedrive in a few minutes.
Install
- Find Stripe Payments by Senyi Labs in the Pipedrive Marketplace and click Install.
- Pipedrive shows what the app may access: read deals and users, read and write contacts (to add notes), and manage activities (to add tasks). Click Allow and install.
- Your company’s 14-day free trial starts.
Connect Stripe (admin)
The app reads from Stripe with a restricted key: a key that can only read the things listed below and can’t change anything. A Pipedrive admin does this once for the company.
- In Stripe, open Developers → API keys → Create restricted key. If Stripe asks how you’ll use the key, choose Building your own integration, then Custom permissions.
- Name it “Pipedrive” and set Read for: Customers, Invoices, Subscriptions, Charges (Charges and Refunds), Products and Events. Leave everything else as None.
- Click Create key and copy it (it starts with
rk_live_). - In Pipedrive, go to Tools and apps → Installed apps → Stripe Payments → Settings, paste the key under Stripe connection and click Connect.
The app checks the key and tells you if a permission is missing. It refuses full secret keys (sk_live_). To try it with Stripe test data first, use a test-mode key (rk_test_); the panel then shows a “test” badge.
The Stripe panel
On every deal, person and organization, the Stripe payments panel in the left sidebar shows:
- Paid (net of refunds) and Outstanding, per currency
- Subscriptions: plan, price, status, and renewal or end date
- The latest invoices with status and a link
- Recent failed payments with the card’s error
- The matching Stripe customer, with a link to it in Stripe
Matching is by email: a person’s emails; a deal’s contact person; an organization’s people (up to 20). If nothing matches, the panel says so.
Automations
| When this happens in Stripe | Pipedrive gets |
|---|---|
| An invoice is paid | A note on the person: amount and invoice link |
| A payment fails | A task for the person’s owner, due today, with the amount and the next retry date |
| A subscription starts | A note on the person: plan and price |
| A subscription is cancelled | A task for the person’s owner, due today |
- The app checks Stripe every 15 minutes. Check Stripe now in the settings runs it at once.
- Only events after you connect Stripe are used. Each event is handled once.
- Events for an email that isn’t a person in Pipedrive are skipped. $0 invoices (trials, 100% coupons) don’t add notes.
- Turn each automation on or off under Automations in the settings.
Trial and subscription
- The trial lasts 14 days for your whole Pipedrive company.
- After that it’s $4 per user per month or $40 per user per year, for the active users in your Pipedrive company. The settings page shows the price for your number of users.
- Click $… / month or $… / year in the settings and set the number of users on the payment page. The checkout uses your Pipedrive email, which is how the app recognises your company. Then click I’ve subscribed.
- If your team grows past the users you pay for, the settings page shows Add users; you have 7 days before the app pauses.
- To cancel or change your subscription, use the Add users link, sign in at app.link.com with the email you paid with, or use the link in your receipt.
Disconnect or uninstall
Disconnect Stripe in the settings deletes the key at once. Uninstalling (Tools and apps → Installed apps → Stripe Payments → Uninstall) deletes your Pipedrive sign-in at once; if nobody in your company has the app installed, the Stripe key and settings are deleted after 30 days.
